JUST UPDATED as of 9/23/07 ...
Hi Everyone! Welcome new members and those who are visiting this site for the first time.
We are excited for a new school year filled with Key Club activities. Please try your best to make it to as many events
as you can. The purpose of joining the club is not to just come to meetings but also to participate in volunteering. We hope
that you will be open to new and challenging ways in helping others. Remember, feel free to let us know if you have ideas
on a project.
Fighting HIV/AIDS in Africa TRICK-or-TREAT for
UNICEF boxes will be handed out October 4th. Our goal this year will be $300. CLICK ON "BULLETIN BOARD" FOR ADDITIONAL
INFO.
The HAUNTED HAY RIDE will
be on Saturday, October 13. We will meet up at 4:00 pm to carpool there. If your parents or you can drive, please let us know!
Last year we had over 20 members attend so if you are interested, make sure you sign up!! We can only take as many people
there are rides for. If around 20 members go this year, we will need about 5-6 drivers. Please fill out the permission
slip and make sure you bring it with you on the day of the event!
Dolly at Shore Cultural Center always needs
help on Saturday mornings at 9:15.
Division 15 Project is currently being worked
on. All I know right now is that it will be a division wide soccer tournament where each school sends a team of 7 to play
against other schools in the division (there will probably be atleast 5 schools). In order for a team to participate, the
team members must get sponsorships from their friends, family, or club. There is no minimum dollar amount for sponsorships
but if our club's team could pull together atleast $70 ($10 for each team player) that would be a good goal. All proceeds will go to Key Club's fall season of service project - UNICEF: Kick HIV/AIDS out of Swaziland.
If you are interested in playing, there will be a sign up sheet soon.
